Therapeutic Apparati!

At Greys Hospital (PMB)

 

 

 

What a pleasant and informative morning at Greys Hospital! We were given a sneak preview of what sort of therapeutic apparati OTs use for  SCI, TBI, CVA and clients suffering from degenerative disorders. We were introduced to a whole range of them, such as the:

•  FEBS & modified FEBS
•  Wire Twister
•  Tilt Table
•  Standing Frame
•  OB Help Arm

It was exciting to be able to manipulate all the parts of the different apparati and to experience the feeling on the tilt table as well as in the standing frame. This experience helped me realize how lucky we are to be able to move around without having to be strapped to any sort of table or into a standing frame for weight bearing or circulatory purposes.

....and as you can see, we were quite finished after the lovely morning at Greys!...but then again aren't OT students always drained and tired! :)
